Getting braces or a retainer isn’t the end of the world. In fact, you can customize the elastics and rubber bands used in the braces on your teeth by choosing any color you like. And since elastics are changed often, you aren't stuck with one color for the entire time you’re wearing them.
Blue, green, red, purple, even clear are some options and we have patients who have alternating colors, or one on the top and a different one on the bottom, or even colors based on their school or current holiday. Many patients have to wear a retainer, and just like the rubber bands and elastics of the braces on your teeth, retainers come in a variety of colors so you can choose something that you love.
